MEET THE
ARTIST
My early career was devoted to the field of contract design. The perfect combination of art and business. I loved space planning for the restaurants, hospitals, banks, and offices. Then the fun part of adding texture and color to the interiors. In hindsight my largest canvases! But then I studied intensely with two well known artist in the Northwest and once I put a paint brush in my hand there was no turning back…
I begin my paintings with an A-ha! moment, which can surface anytime - even in the middle of the night. But that is only the beginning. Using a palette knife, I start by layering paint till the painting has its own life. But I am not in control of the painting. It leads me. I have learned to trust in that inspired world of magical creativity as it leads me by the hand to its destination.
The delight in the magical world, has continued and increased through the great love for my sons and my grandchildren. Seeing the thread of creativity that ties us together is a continuous wonder and has woven a beautiful tapestry.
